Vintage & recycling fashion can help fight pollution.

Fast fashion is a contemporary term used by fashion retailers to express that designs move from catwalk quickly to capture the seasons current fashion trends but is it earthfriendly and sustainable?

Something we should all be concerned about these days.

When a consumer purchases and only wears a garment for a single season then I'm afraid my friends that's a part of the pollution problem. The fashion industry is the second most polluting industry on earth causing negative environmental impact, water pollution, the use of toxic chemicals and increasing levels of textile waste. On a global scale the garment industry produces way over 200 billion garments in a year enough to provide at least 30 new articles of clothing for every person in the world. Mainly due to fast fashion and throwaway clothing production.

Next time you feel the urge ..think about whether or not you really need that fast fashion item or can you perhaps purchase a gently used item or repurpose your wardrobe with embellishments or restructuring.

Your choices matter. Recycle, Upcycle, Reuse.
